Duff is a serial founder, having served on the executive team of five startups. He currently has a patent pending for technology underpinning an early-stage startup called Transparent Gold. The company is developing disruptive technology in the precious metals industry with 24/7 visual vaulting services for Gold IRA holders and their gold and silver assets.

Duff has long been an Advisory Board member and So-Cal events coordinator for Fractionals United, the world’s largest fractional CxO community, since its founding. Having gathered over 5000 members in its first 10 months, the community is thriving.

In 2004, Duff founded Amplitude Digital, an award-winning Google Premier Partner revenue growth agency that has since served over 200 B2C and B2B brands in fashion, beauty, health, consumer tech, insurance, precious metals, financial services and more. As founder, head of marketing and customer success, Duff built the relationships, hired the teams and assured the delivery of long term profitable campaigns for fast-growing companies sized from PMF (WOLO SnacksHedley & Bennett) to enterprise level (Toyota, Leon Max) to plain awesome (Hollywood Sign TrustForest Lawn Memorial ParksExtraordinary Families).

These campaigns include branding, SEO, paid media, affiliate, programmatic, CRO and analytics that drove strong improvements in customer flow, conversion and search authority. By the time the agency was sold to partners in 2022, the company had directly employed over 50 expert marketers, customer success managers, salespeople and administrators in great careers. It continues to thrive today.

Previously, Duff was head of marketing for San Francisco’s MetaMarkets OpenFund, a highly transparent startup wealthtech fund manager and live investor community that — for the first time — allowed a mutual fund’s investment process to be observed in real time. Gathering power from the community and industry coalitions with Morningstar and other industry players, Duff led an advocacy campaign that led to investor-friendly regulatory changes and big headlines. The company’s funds gathered millions and hit some performance records, but didn’t outlast the downturn in tech stocks in 2001.

During his tenure in Silicon Valley, Duff was hired to drive a digital branding transformation for McKesson, a Fortune 15 healthcare giant. Though a combination of branding strategy, careful internal negotiation, data research and global media communications, he brought together and established broad awareness of a newly unified digital brand for over 25 leading businesses in robotics, patient safety, pharmaceutical distribution and more.

Duff began his career in New York City in global communications and content marketing for two of Wall Street’s largest asset management companies: Alliance Capital Management and Scudder Funds.

Duff supports local music, film, art, foster kids, architecture and history and is a sought after speaker on business strategy and entrepreneurship at conferences and colleges. He is also a professional performing songwriter with thousands of touring miles and chart-topping records to his credit.

Duff lives with his family in Los Angeles.
